About the university
Founded in 1956, Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU) is a leading institution in electronics, information science, economics, and management, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. As one of the top five universities in Zhejiang, HDU has become a major center for scientific research, innovation, and talent development.
Over the past six decades, the university has educated over 100,000 engineers and business leaders, including one-third of the CEOs and CFOs of China’s top 100 IT companies. Notably, Jack Ma and Alibaba Group began their journey here, earning HDU the title of “Cradle of IT Entrepreneurs and Excellent Accountants.”

Accommodation

The annual accommodation fee for international students is approximately 4,000–5,400 CNY per year, depending on the room type. Students are responsible for paying their own utility expenses, such as water, electricity, and internet, which are billed according to usage. The dormitories are regularly maintained and supervised to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a peaceful study atmosphere.
