About the university
Nanchang University (NCU), located in the vibrant city of Nanchang in Jiangxi Province, is a key comprehensive university recognized nationally for its academic excellence and research strength. The university’s roots trace back to several historic institutions founded in the early 20th century, including Jiangxi Public Medical College (1921), National Chung-cheng University (1940), and Jiangxi Industrial College (1958). These institutions later merged to form the present Nanchang University. In 1997, NCU was selected for China’s “211 Project,” marking a major milestone in its development. A significant transformation occurred in 2005, when Nanchang University merged with Jiangxi Medical College, significantly strengthening its capabilities in medical education, life sciences, and research.
Today, Nanchang University comprises three main campuses—Qianhu, Qingshanhu, and Donghu—covering more than 360 hectares and featuring state-of-the-art academic buildings, modern laboratories, research centers, libraries, student services, and recreational spaces. Accommodation

Available options include triple rooms, double rooms, and four-person suites. Each dormitory building is equipped with essential living facilities, including air conditioning, heating, internet access, shared kitchens or utility areas, and laundry services, creating a convenient, student-friendly residential experience.
Accommodation fees vary by room type. Triple rooms range from 3000 to 5000 CNY per year, making them an affordable option for students seeking a balanced stay. Double rooms range from 4600 to 7500 CNY per year and offer greater privacy and comfort. For students seeking shared living arrangements, the four-person suite, priced at 3750 CNY per year, features a well-structured layout with shared facilities, making it ideal for collaborative and social living.
